The sequential printing mode in Simplify3D allows you to finish printing a complete part before starting the next one. This greatly reduces the number of travel movements between parts, improving print quality. This mode now also supports multiple processes for the same model.

Dual Extrusion Customizations

The prime pillar and ooze shield have both been updated to better support multi-process prints. This adds new customization options for dual extrusion such as limiting the height of the prime pillar and ooze shield, saving time and material when these items are no longer needed.

NEW INSTRUCTIONS 28/oct/2017 for MAC

1) Install Simplify3D as normal using the OS X folder. This will create a folder in your Application folder that is called Simpify3D or something similar. If it the folder is not named Simplify3D, rename it.

2) Go into the patch files and you will find “Interface.dylib” within the OS X patch folder. There is a read me in there, but it is not in depth. I will explain that process next.

3) Copy “Interface.dylib” to the Simplify3D folder we created above when installing it into Applications.

4) Open Terminal. Type in: “sudo nano /etc/hosts” (without quotes), this will allow you to edit your hosts so you can add “127.0.0.1 api.simplify3d.com” (without quotes). Once this is added below the other items listed in the hosts, press Control + X to exit, Press Y to save changes, then press Return to confirm the changes.

5) In Terminal, type “cd /Applications/Simplify3D” without quotes, this tells terminal to use that folder for the commands we are going to tell it next.

6) Type or copy/paste into terminal:

DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES=./Interface.dylib DYLD_FORCE_FLAT_NAMESPACE=1 
./Simplify3D.app/Contents/MacOS/Simplify3D

Then press return. If you followed the steps above correct, Simplify3D should launch without issue.

[Now this next step is optional, but unless you want to open terminal each time you run this app, then you will find it helpful.]

7) Close Terminal and Simplify3D, if open We will not need them anymore. Now open up Automator, you will find this within Applications. Select File > New in the menu bar and select Application when the window pops up.

8) On the left hand side, search for “Run Shell Script”. Then drag and drop that option to the right side that has a grey background.

9) In the new window that says “Run Shell Script”, delete the word “cat” and type in BOTH of the lines listed, with a space as it is shown below:

cd /Applications/Simplify3D
DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES=./Interface.dylib DYLD_FORCE_FLAT_NAMESPACE=1 
./Simplify3D.app/Contents/MacOS/Simplify3D

10) Now select Run in the top right, this is just to test this “app” to make sure it works. If Simplify3D loaded, then you are in business. Don’t stop yet though, we have one last step.

11) In Automator, select File > Save. I saved my application as “Simplify3d – Launcher” but feel free to use anything you like as long as you do not leave it as “Simplify3D” as there is another app already (the actual app, not the one we are creating). For “Where”, navigate to the Simplify3D folder in Applications that we created in step 1 during installation.

12) Save the Application. Now whenever you need to use Simplify3D, run the Simplify3D – Launcher (Or whatever you named it) and Simplify3D will start up as if you had a license.

Now the program should be started… If work create an application with Automator, add “Run Shell Script” from “Utility” library.

Copy and past the script “DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES=./Interface.dylib DYLD_FORCE_FLAT_NAMESPACE=1 ./Simplify3D.app/Contents/MacOS/Simplify3D” without “”

IMPORTANT: You must edit the path of program, so you have to replace “.” with “/Applications/Simplify3D-4.0.0” or the path where your app is installed.

Now click on Run in the top right corner and check if everything is ok. If it works, Save as you want, I’ve called “Simplify3D 4.0” and replace the icon ;) open Inspector (CMD+I) in both Simplify3D click on the small icon on native app, CMD+C and do the same on the app that you have just saved using CMD+V instead.

    The first step of “Copy Interface.dylib to the install directory” I added it to my framework tab, but the name there is “libinterface.dylib” if I change it to libinterface and take the other one out, it comes up as an error when I run the application. Also, on the second step I had to create another text file because I wasn’t allowed to unlock the file, is that ok? And I don’t understand the “run” step

      I run this website and I try my best to help every one here but still there are things i’m not familiar with, so sometimes users have to figure some things out by their own selves i.e this case of yours. my internet is slow and I cant download it so join our group and ask someone there. there’s one thing i’m 100% sure of. * just follow instructions carefully, and it will work without any problem!” dont worry, just give it a try.

      1. Rename the orignal “Interface.dll” to “Interface.dl1”.
      2. Copy “Interface.dll” to the install directory.
      3. Login is disabled.

    Being trying to run the mac one but having this issue while runing the terminal script:

    dyld: could not load inserted library ‘./Interface.dylib’ because no suitable image found. Did find:
    ./Interface.dylib: malformed mach-o image: symbol table underruns __LINKEDIT
    ./Interface.dylib: stat() failed with errno=1

    Abort trap: 6

    My Simplify 3d works only the first run.. It start up fine with the terminal / automator script, but i’m only able to see the menu bar, the toolbar, and the left column…The settings seems to work, but i can’t see the model in the middle! It’s a big blue space without the grid! The center panel is empty… I have to unistall, and reinstall the app, and then it works (only on the first startup..) Mac Sierra 10.12.3
    What i can try?

      sounds like a pc issue. with this I cant help. this is something you will have to figure out your self. why am i saying this? because this is 100% working and tested.

        If i click on “reset preferences” on the toolbar, and i close and reopen the program, it works like a charm… But when i close, on the next start up i have the same problem… What can i check? do you have something to suggest?? The preferences .plist file? The application support folder?

    I tried installing it on ubuntu, but after changing the fil hosts and copying the file Interface.so to the installation folder, I get 2 errors. or you open the program asking me to log in, or receive corrupt program error. how can i solve it ??

    I tried to install, pc frozen previously to delete regedit if the installation won’t run, and always have the same error message.

    Unable to locate installation files. Please reinstall the application.

    I’ve win10 x64. Installed the simplify with internet dissabled, no lunch profram after installaition, change dll for dll1 and copy paste the cracked dll.

    I keep getting the login screen after installing.
    I did copy paste the Interface.dylib in to the install folder and edited etc/hosts in the terminal.

    When starting s3d trough the terminal it does start, but is just showing a login screen.

    I’ve had an older cracked version of s3d installed before. Did it fuck up something?

      indeed you have done something you shouldt have. i say, use Ccleaner to completely unfk and uninstall the simplify, and then install from scratch again.

        What could cause the problem? I’ve tried Ccleaner, I’ve tried the S3D uninstall tool. Can’t get it working…

        I was thinking it could be the host file. My host file looks like this:

    Merci pour ce partage, j’en profite pour vous donnez une astuce plus simple sur mac pour la version 4, pour modifier le host dans le terminal :”sudo pico / etc / hosts” (sans les guillemets), et pour l’étape suivante je vais dans le terminal je tape directement: “cd /Applications/Simplify3D-4.0.0/
    DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES=./Interface.dylib DYLD_FORCE_FLAT_NAMESPACE=1 ./Simplify3D.app/Contents/MacOS/Simplify3D”, et pour automator mettre la meme commande
