Random Starship is a random generator add-on that creates spaceships or starships. This is made as a utility add-on for Random Flow but you can use it as a standalone plugin. Its many controls allow you to make ships of all shapes and sizes.

You can choose between a simple basemesh or a detailed one using the plating properties in the redo panel.
You can also play around with the Limit Smooth feature to limit the autosmooth effects on particular areas of the plate details giving you extra range on how your ship will look in renders.
Design ships from stubby tocarrier/mothership lengths. Also called hull sections, increasing itsnumber lets you control the length of the entire ship. You will havedifferent controls on the resolution and detail for each hullsection.

Increased subdivision threshold. You can now go higher with cuts or resolution with lower lag.
Introduced Compact and Advanced header options. Compact is all the sections showing only the most essential to create ships using the presets and advanced is the legacy UI with all the parameters. This will make the redo panel more manageable.
Added Corrector parameter. This does nothing but rework the script so you can get the randomized shape you had using the seed values. (This is a temporary fix for the issue where editing parameters can change the look of the ship despite seed values remaining the same.)

Using the material presets will clear the materials from the object first so the material provided by the add-on becomes active.
Presets are now in the add-on directory itself and there is no need to manually install them. You have to delete the presets that you have installed before in the address location in the preset installation page: https://www.blenderguppy.com/add-ons/random-starship/presets in order to avoid duplicates. Do not touch the one in the add-on directory.
