COMPATIBILITY
Blender 5.1+
Buddy is built for Blender 5.1 or newer. Older versions ARE NOT SUPPORTED.
16 GB+ RAM
Hard requirement. The local model needs real memory to run — Buddy will not run on lower-end hardware. 24 GB for the default model, 32 GB+ for the high-quality one. A GPU is always nice, of course.
Windows, MacOS, and Linux all supported.
GPU acceleration: CUDA on NVIDIA, Metal on Apple Silicon (optional)
Disk: ≈10–22 GB for the text model + ≈6 GB for the optional Vision model. Downloaded on first use.
Note: If your computer can run it, using the high model gives the best results by far — far less hallucination than the default.
