“This tool generates Lightning from curves and meshes with full artistic control.”
There are three lightning generators:
Lightning Generator: It generates 2D/3D lightning from a curve with multiple splines.
Surface Lightning Generator: It generates lightning on a mesh surface or objects. Lightning can be controlled with a curve with multiple splines.
(NEW) Volume Lightning Generator: It generates lightning in the volume (also near the surface) of mesh or objects. Lightning can be controlled with a curve with multiple splines.
Features:
These tools generate realistic lightning.
Easy to control with a curve in 3D space, on the surface of meshes, or in the volume of meshes.
With a curve, you can control direction, spread, branches, etc.
It also generates lightning for each spline of a curve.
Allows defining the core(s) of lightning.
Flow along the curve.
Lightning interacts with external objects, i.e., you can define Attract-Objects and Repel-Objects.
Documentation
Detailed documentation of settings is included with the files.

Use
It is a modifier based on the Geometry Nodes so that you can use it directly from the Lightning Generator’s files as Assets or Append Node-Setup/Object (See also the video tutorial that comes with these files).
Append: You can also use this in different files by appending the Node Setup: KS_Lightning or KS_Surface_Lightning or append the Object: KS_Lightning_Object or KS_Surface_Lightning_Object or append the Collection (disabled the instanced option): Lightning_Setup.
Assets: You can also use this as Asset. Put these generators blend files in your assets folder/directory. Then in your Asset Browser, the Node Setup: KS_Lightning or KS_Surface_Lightning and Objects: KS_Lightning_Object and KS_Surface_Lightning_Object will appear.
About
These are LIGHTNING modifiers that are made with geometry nodes and can be used in Blender 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, and 3.6.
