We’re huge fans of the ‘Gaea’ terrain generator. It is a professional tool used by hundreds of top artists around the globe. Since there isn’t any Gaea-to-Blender bridge available, and tools like Quixel Mixer and Substance Painter (or Designer) only bring unnecessary headaches to the process, we decided to create a ‘Cycles’ material setup that would help us mix heightmaps and diffuse maps fast and easy.
