StrandKit is a modular asset library for Blender, designed to make high-quality hair and fur systems simple to set up and flexible to use. Grooming is one thing — but making your style actually look the way you intended is another. Especially with complex hair types, traditional setups just don’t cut it.
StrandKit solves that by giving you full control, a wide variety of ready-to-go systems, and a clean, production-friendly workflow from start to finish.

24 Hair Type Systems
Covers the full range of hair types — from straight 1A to coily 4C. You set up the groom; StrandKit picks it up from there. Just drag and drop to apply the style.
Every system includes a global “system scale” parameter, letting you scale the entire hairstyle without breaking proportions — ideal for switching between character sizes or working in different dimensions. Each type also comes with its own shader section built into the modifier: base color, roughness, tip/root tinting, and more — all customizable without leaving your node tree.
These hairstyles are all drag-and-drop systems and can be used on any groom setup.

15 Fur Type Systems
From small animals to large mammals — mice, rabbits, sheep, bison, lions, porcupines, even birds — each fur type is custom-built with realistic scattering and shading behavior. Everything is designed from scratch to match the structure of the animal it represents without limitations.
Some types, like the bear fur, include built-in sliders for wet and dry zones — a practical solution for adding detail without manual painting.
Each fur system is built for both distant and close-up views, meaning that there’s detail even in individual hair strands.
14 Hair Card Systems
One dedicated card generator per hair type (1A–4C), specifically made for vertical card rendering. These systems are highly optimized for baking hair cards quickly, with full control over density, curl, fuzz, and material properties. You can also use them directly on grooms.
These hair card systems include switches for rendering settings for diffuse, roughness, specularity, normals, startmasks, and depth. Simply toggle them on or of to render the desired mask.
1,000+ Hair Cards
StrandKit includes more than 1,000 unique hair cards, categorized by hair type. Each hair type (1A to 4C) consists of five color options, four thickness levels, and four density values. And each one of those comes with a texture for diffuse, roughness, specularity, normals, start mask, and depth.
By including both normal maps and depth maps, the cards lose their 2D look and an additional level of depth and realism can be achieved. Even with the curliest hair types.
The library alone offers a huge variety of hair cards, but in combination with the StrandKit hair card scatter tool the customization options are limitless and so much fun to play around with.

Edge Hair Tools & Cards
Edge hairs are often overlooked. StrandKit includes a dedicated system for procedural edge hair — driven by a spawn and shape curve — plus a set of edge hair cards tailored for creating detailed, stylized edges and Black hairstyles.

Scattering & Conversion Tools
StrandKit provides tools for converting grooms into cards and for drawing custom shapes:
Hair Card Scattering — Apply hair cards to your groom setup with full control over alignment, width, clumping, texture repetition, card shapes, a full list of texture settings, tip and root colorization, and more.
Curve to Hair Card — Draw a curve and have it automatically generate a card with full customization options.
Hair Physics System
The built-in physics system includes object movement, wind simulation, and collision support. Parameters like resolution, damping, gravity, shape retention, and collision detection parameters are exposed and adjustable, giving you total control over simulation behavior inside Blender. It supports object driven animations as well as armature driven animations with a simple switch.
