Ive studied perspective during my days in The One Academy and a quick short course before from FZD long ago. However i still couldnt grasp the idea of how perspective work therefore i decided to give Krenz’s perspective course a go. To my surprise, his teaching system is indeed effective!
This time round we had two very insightful and respectful tutors to guide us throughout the entire course. They are ShuiYue and Boss tutors! Definitely very grateful to their patience guiding us through difficulties.
Lesson 1.
It will be pretty straight to grasp the idea of whats one point, two point and three point perspective during first lesson. And Krenz pointed out what are the usual mistakes practitioner make in perspective. He also shared there are ways to not rely on vanishing point and could finish a perspective drawing!
And a couple of tricks to make sure the perspective is in correct position and tips to speed up the process. As we work our perspective in Photoshop, pen tool is the most reliable tool we could use most.
And 45 degree perspective is the best to draw, because the proportion in that degree is the best to judge if anything is out of perspective. X and Y point on vanishing point has to be equal as it will compress the overall perspective if it isnt. If its 22.5 degree or 67.5 degree it will have a certain compression on perspective and a level of difficulties to handle.
Near and Far camera angle will affect the compression of an object or scenery in perspective.
So in lesson 1 we were given just a reference from the internet and 3 camera angles to recreate the scenery base on what we learnt in perspective.
