Overlord is a set of two panels that, when both open, create a portal between Illustrator and After Effects. This mystical Stargate allows the transfer of shapes as you need them, while animating, without the need for file organization, importing, converting to shape layers or redrawing. This is the vector workflow you imagined when working with apps created by the same company.
Ae shape layers may also be transferred back to Illustrator for editing with more robust drawing tools. Think of it as using Illustrator as a plugin for After Effects.

idk how about AI, but i think he didn’t enabled debugger on AE, it happen to me when i install KBar on my CC17 AE and when i enabled debugger it worked.

Manual installation (the last resort!)
This way to install ZXP extensions should normally only be used by extension developers and is offered here as a last resort: should the ZXP Installer fail to install an extension, you should report this to help us enhance the installer.
Manual installation on Mac OS
rename your .zxp file to .zip
unzip the zip file. Some people report that they must use Stuffit Expander to unzip it as the OS X utility does not work for them.
in Finder Menu choose go->go to folder and enter the following folder name
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions folder
Move the unziped folder from the previous step into this folder
open a terminal window and execute the following command
defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.5 PlayerDebugMode 1
(This will tell Premiere Pro to also run extensions that are installed in this manual way).
Manual installation on Windows
rename your .zxp file to .zip
unzip the zip file
drag that unzipped folder into the folder
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\
Create a registry entry “PlayerDebugMode” with String value 1 in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Adobe/CSXS.5
(To create and modify registry entries you can search for the program “regedit” in the windows menu)
asking unlock option means serial key
follow instructions properly.
I have the same problem as Marcelo, even after enabling debugger on AE. The installation is easy, so there is no problem there, every file is in the correct folder. And it appears in both programs under the extensions menu.
In AE it doesn’t appear at all when I click, but in AI it flashes, it appears for less than a second and it hides again.
I have the 2018 version of both programs and I don’t know what could it be wrong.
Thanks for the continuous updates on the site and the precious software that provides the oportunity for a lot of people to be more efficient and to really try out software before buying.

Same problem here. It shows up in AE but asks for serial. Strange. Shouldn´t be cracked? And in AI it doesnt shows upp at all in extension.

i recommend to install the ae cc 2017 and the ai cc 2017 to avoid any probelms and make sure u followed the install guide proprerly . Other then that i don’t have any ideas

Hi, im trying how to understand the installation process but i just cant, cause in first place when i unzipp it it shows an overlord folder but it has another zipped file and a video inside, is that right? :S am i getting something wrong ?

Hi! I’ve managed to install the extension correctly on AE CC 2018 and Illustrator CC 2018, on macOS High Sierra. But when I try to open the extension, it asks for a purchase code. That number is not inside the ZIP file. Any solution for this?

Open Overlord on BOTH After Effects and Illustrator, type some random numbers for licence and it gets working perfectly.

what? why do you need CEP ? you just have to copy the whole overlord folder in:
for Win: C:\Users\*your user*\AppData\Roaming\BattleAxe copy Overlord folder from the archive.
i installed it, it shows in the illustrator extention tab, but inside it, it is empty, there are no icons, nothing.
r u using it on a compatible ae version? theres not much available on this as of now, you might have to figure it out on your own
